What happens if my health changes?

North Oaks residents rest easy knowing there is a health services navigator who can coordinate a full complement of health care services. Primary care, diagnostic services, home support, Medicare-reimbursable home health, Assistance-in-Living, rehabilitative therapy and Skilled Nursing Care are right on campus. Best of all, these services are provided by people residents know and trust. While you may never need these services, it is important to have a plan in place just in case.

What happens if health care costs continue to skyrocket?

People living in Life Care communities like North Oaks know that their fees stay comparable to what they are paying in Independent Living even if they need Assistance-in-Living or Skilled Nursing Care. There are no financial surprises at North Oaks. Residents have the peace of mind that comes with having health care costs under control.

Is there a tax advantage?

Several IRS rulings have established that a portion of North Oaks’ Life Care predictable monthly fees are deductible as a pre-paid medical expense. These health care deductions are only available through Life Care communities such as North Oaks. As always, individual tax situations should be discussed with personal tax advisors.

We recognize that each person has unique personal goals, so we offer several financial plans for residency. Our Return of Capital Plan provides three options: we offer a 50% and a 90% return of your entrance fee to you or your estate. Our third option is the Traditional Plan which lets you choose a lower, declining refund entrance fee option.
