When Hurricane Irene arrived, bringing widespread damage and power outages, the North Oaks community found it could still rely on the power of people. Dedicated staff worked around the clock to make sure residents were safe and comfortable, serving three meals a day, regularly checking on each resident, ensuring that all health care needs were met and even providing some entertainment.
Throughout the community—from the cooperation and camaraderie of residents to the committed effort of every staff member—the true spirit of North Oaks shined through.
